"Quick Fix" vs. "Quick Boost"

We all have those special dates, reunions, weddings and other special events that we want to look our best for. However, if we are already on the fast track to being healthy, how can we get that extra boost for that special upcoming event? It's important to understand the difference between what I am about to explain, and a quick fix for weight. Quick fixes include, fasting, fad cleanses, starving, eliminating carbohydrates, and water pills. Although these quick fixes may get your body to eliminate body fat (and sometimes muscle) a little faster than normal, they leave your metabolism in a worse condition than before you started them.

The Enabler...

This week's inspiration has been inspired by an experience I have had in the past that was brought up recently in one of my 6 week community programs. This is the story of the enabling friend/family/co-worker. When I was losing my 60 pounds 7 years ago, I had a very strong will to succeed. In fact, it never occurred to me that I would not achieve my goal. My mentor gave me a plan, he told me it would work, the program had worked on thousands of people (now millions) and why should I be any different.

Staying on Track

In case you have blown the program. Don't worry, don't panic. You can make the program work.
If you have specific questions look at making it fool-proof. Tracking your success section and re-read your purpose and goals. Write them down daily and make your visualization picture the first page (inside cover) in your makeover diary.
