We all have those special dates, reunions, weddings and other special events that we want to look our best for. However, if we are already on the fast track to being healthy, how can we get that extra boost for that special upcoming event? It's important to understand the difference between what I am about to explain, and a quick fix for weight. Quick fixes include, fasting, fad cleanses, starving, eliminating carbohydrates, and water pills. Although these quick fixes may get your body to eliminate body fat (and sometimes muscle) a little faster than normal, they leave your metabolism in a worse condition than before you started them. This week's inspiration has been inspired by an experience I have had in the past that was brought up recently in one of my 6 week community programs. This is the story of the enabling friend/family/co-worker. When I was losing my 60 pounds 7 years ago, I had a very strong will to succeed. In fact, it never occurred to me that I would not achieve my goal.
